Before the days when the Nintendo DS made temporal manipulation the cool feature it is today, some intriguing titles were already exploring this concept. Next year, fans of these classics are in for a treat as early works from a distinctive storyteller in gaming will be getting a fresh update for the Switch—with no need for fan translations this time around.
Spike Chunsoft has announced that they will be releasing remastered editions of “Ever 17 – The Out Of Infinity” and “Never 7 – The End Of Infinity” on the Switch. For the first time, these games will be fully localized. Scheduled for release on March 6, Never 7 will cost $19.99 in the US or its equivalent, while Ever 17 will be priced at $29.99. Fans looking for a deal can purchase a dual pack for $44.99.
Originally launched exclusively in Japan, Never 7 made its debut in 2000, followed by Ever 17 in 2002. Both games are centered around the captivating premise of time loops. These titles were crafted by Kotaro Uchikoshi, a name many will recognize from the acclaimed Zero Escape series, which includes 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, Virtue’s Last Reward, and Zero Time Dilemma, as well as the AI: The Somnium Files duology.
