Hello Trailblazers! The Honkai: Star Rail development team is buzzing with excitement as we dive into what’s coming in version 2.7, “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn.” Mark your calendars for December 4, as this release wraps up our chapter in Penacony, setting the stage for the mysterious new world of Amphoreus—also known as the Eternal Land. This update is the last stop before version 3.0 unfolds a thrilling new storyline.
Looking back at our journey, we remember when Black Swan hinted at the wonders of Amphoreus—a realm so elusive that even Akivili, the Aeon of the Trailblaze, never reached it. Navigator Himeko has taken this as her cue to gather all the intel she can. Meanwhile, the crew makes a meaningful stop in Penacony to reconnect with friends and cherish old memories before venturing into uncharted territories.
### Old Friends Stepping Back into the Limelight
Thinking about that momentous show at the Penacony Grand Theater? Feels like it was just yesterday. And it’s not just the stage that’s bustling back to life—enter Mr. Sunday! Stepping down from leading the Oak Family, he’s ready to walk amongst us, leaving behind the blessings of Harmony and Order. His goal? To discover what the world offers from a new perspective. With the help of the mysterious Pepeshi, Wonweek, Sunday is back in Penacony, set on delivering an astonishing final performance before embarking on his personal quest. Disguised in a fresh robe and hood, he’s ready to keep his identity under wraps for this grand farewell on the Planet of Festivities.
As a top-tier 5-star Imaginary character, Sunday comes with remarkable support abilities. His skill lets an ally swiftly take action and boosts their damage output. If that ally also has a Summon, both get to act immediately with even more firepower. When Sunday unleashes his Ultimate, one ally receives a big energy boost and both they and their Summon become The Beatified. This transformation grants increased critical damage to the ally.
Say hello again to Fugue, or as we fondly remember, Tingyun. Once a clever foxian tactician, Tingyun is now grappling with a stolen identity. Despite the turmoil, she clings to a faint glimmer of hope, though marked by Destruction. After narrowly escaping death in the intense showdown of version 1.2, she owes her survival to Madam Ruan Mei of the Genius Society. Himeko and Welt decided to bring Tingyun back where she truly belongs, reigniting her path forward.
Fugue makes her entrance as a powerful 5-star Fire character, excelling in supporting allies by reducing enemy toughness no matter their type weaknesses. Enemies also face the Cloudflame Luster state when she’s on the battlefield. Once reduced to nothing, this state leads to repeated damage, and allies hitting these weakened foes deliver what’s known as Super Break Damage. Fugue can further amplify the Break Effect for her allies with her Technique. Attacking with her Ultimate unleashes Fire damage, bypassing weaknesses to directly tackle all enemies’ toughness.
Returning in the version 2.7 warp event are the sought-after 5-star characters, General Jing Yuan and Firefly. Their robust support roles make them essential for the journeys ahead.
### Looking Forward: New Features in Version 2.7 and Beyond
Apart from these characters and narratives, version 2.7 promises to enrich your experience. The Astral Express introduces a Party Car where luxury meets nostalgia, offering a plush reception area with a classic bartending robot at its heart. Whether you’re sharing stories over a drink with the crew or simply soaking in the cosmos through panoramic windows, it’s an atmosphere of delightful relaxation.
Climb up to the Trailblazer’s quarters and discover a new venture—the Cosmic Home Décor Guide event. Transform a previously unused storage space into your own, thoughtfully designing areas like a bedroom or a bathroom. By completing tasks and earning Express Funds, you’ll add furniture, watching your personal sanctuary steadily come to life.
Exciting tweaks are coming to the Relic system in version 3.0, with the ability to pick Main Stats and Subsidiary Stats using special tools during relic synthesis! Introducing Wishful Resin, used alongside Self-Modeling Resin, offering you the power to set both sets of stats for a single relic at once.
As a delightful bonus, Pom-Pom unearthed a little gem while tidying up the Trailblazer’s storage. From the launch of version 2.7 through to the end of version 3.2, players can snag a “Gift of the Express,” allowing you to choose any regular 5-star character you wish. Together with cherished friends and new allies, our journey continues—side by side.
That’s a wrap on what’s coming in version 2.7. More thrilling surprises are still in store, so keep on your toes. Anticipation is in the air, especially with our trusty friend, Herta, gearing up for the adventures ahead as version 2.7 lands on December 4.
