The action RPG “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” has recently hit a significant milestone, closing in on two million copies sold. Hitting the market on February 4th, the game quickly amassed over a million sales within just the first day.
Lars Wingefors, CEO of Embracer Group, which owns Plaion, the publishing entity behind the game, shared his insights on this achievement. He emphasized that the success of “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” is a testament to the necessity of releasing exceptional games.
Speaking to investors, as noted by VGC, Wingefors highlighted, “The triumph of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 underscores our fundamental mission—delivering outstanding products to the market. Ensuring that our talented teams have adequate resources and time to bring their creative visions to life is crucial. This level of trust not only benefits gamers but also our employees and shareholders. I am confident we will continue to stand out as industry leaders in our key business areas moving forward.”
Notably, the game also made a splash by debuting at the top of the charts on Steam last week.
