Ghosts of Tabor’s team at Combat Waffle is gearing up for the launch of their newest VR experience, Silent North. This game, set to land on Quest and Steam in early access this March, is set to deliver an intense multiplayer zombie survival adventure.
Backed by Beyond Frames Entertainment, Silent North transports you to the breathtaking yet perilous Swiss Alps. Here, players must fight to survive not just against hordes of zombies but also human adversaries with the same ruthless instincts for survival and plundering.
You’ll have the option to band together with others or brave the wilderness alone as you scavenge for valuable resources and fend off a relentless onslaught of zombies, the creators reveal.
The game promises to keep you on edge with its mix of PVP and PVE challenges. “Whether you’re trekking through mountains or crossing plains, you’ll find no shortage of encounters with both the living and the undead,” the game details explain. Expect heart-pounding battles that may have you either running for your life or hunting down others for survival. Caution is key, as other players might be lurking, ready to ambush.
For those eager to jump in, Silent North is now available for pre-order through the Horizon Store at a discounted price of $17, down from the regular $20. It’s also ready to be wishlisted on Steam, another platform offering a 15% discount at launch.
While early access is confirmed for March on Steam and the Horizon Store, there’s no word yet on when Silent North will spread to other VR systems, like PSVR 2 and Pico headsets.
A quick update as of February 21, 2024: The developers have confirmed March for the release, though they’re still finalizing the exact date.
