Not to worry, Pochacco will still give you a nudge to search for Gudetama at the start of each week.

When you do stumble across this elusive character, simply whip out your camera to snap a picture, just as you would with the other Gudetama hidden across the island. It’s a massive place, and with Tophat Gudetama capable of tucking himself away in one of 52 possible locations, you might find it tricky to track him down without a little guidance.
