Crocs Are Making Their Way into Fortnite

Remember last year when Epic Games gave Fortnite players the chance to deck out their characters with a variety of trendy footwear? You could sport Jordans on Zuko or perhaps slip Darth Vader into some cozy slippers. It was only a matter of time before they threw Crocs into the mix. Vox once described these as “squishy orthopedic shoes,” and now you can imagine the improbable: Godzilla rocking a pair of Crocs.

Tonight marks a fresh update for Fortnite’s Chapter 6, Season 2, and with it, Epic Games is introducing Crocs to the Fortnite Item Shop. Four distinct styles will be available for players to choose from: classic white and pink Crocs, along with two whimsical variants in black and grey. Whether you feel like accessorizing with some Jibbitz at no extra cost or toggling the sport mode, the choice is yours. Just brace yourself; those Crocs might be tricky to keep on while you’re racing through the chaotic landscapes of Outlaw Oasis.

As for me, I’ll probably save my V-bucks until they roll out a pair of platform Croc heels. But who am I kidding? I once swore I’d never take my Crocs outside the comfort of my home, and yet, here we are.
