ASRock’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs have made their debut online, showcasing the company’s anticipation of the AMD RDNA 4 lineup with their unique Steel Legend and Taichi models.
Recently, detailed images of ASRock’s custom RX 9070 series GPU models surfaced, unveiling their visually appealing SKUs. ASRock has geared up to present options for AMD’s latest gaming architecture, focusing on the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. While images from other board partners have yet to appear, ASRock’s offerings have been spotted, emphasizing three key variants: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi series stands out as ASRock’s flagship model, flaunting an elegant triple-fan design paired with a robust heatsink, making it a thick three-slot card.
The standout feature of the Taichi variant is its 12V-2×6 power connector. Interestingly, not every model will include this feature, as AMD has granted partners the flexibility to opt in based on a model’s power needs. This powerful connector supports up to 600W, indicating that the Taichi edition boasts top-notch specifications and overclocking potential.
Moving on to the Steel Legend version, this one appears to be ASRock’s mid-range offering, available in stunning white and silver motifs. It sports a 2.5-slot triple fan setup. Unlike the Taichi, this variant trades the 12V-2×6 connector for a more typical 2x 8-pin configuration, aligning with AMD’s standard for most board models, save for some high-end exceptions like the Taichi.
As for when eager gamers can expect these models to hit the shelves, it’s likely that we’ll see them land as early as next week. That’s when AMD is speculated to kick off pre-orders for the RX 9070 series, so keep your eyes peeled.
