Among the Essential titles for next month is a game that was previously dropped from PS Plus Extra earlier in the year, meaning many subscribers may have already played it.
Naturally, there’s been some chatter among fans, with many feeling Sony missed an opportunity to deliver something special for the milestone anniversary. From the slew of comments on the PS Blog, gaming forums, and across social media, it’s evident that players aren’t necessarily upset about the games themselves. Instead, they’re disappointed by what they see as a lackluster selection given the significance of the occasion.
One subscriber didn’t hold back, saying, “This is one of the most corporate and uncaring attempts at an anniversary, let alone a 30th anniversary, that I have ever witnessed.” Another chimed in, “I actually had to comment for the first time today to express how lame this is,” while someone else added, “I usually don’t like complaining on blogs, but this is horrible.”
As for the complete PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for December 2024, details are still under wraps. However, Premium subscribers can look forward to three cherished classics and a game trial being promised.
