Cyberpunk 2077, the ambitious sci-fi RPG, has impressively sold over 30 million copies so far. This information comes from CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, and was highlighted in VGC’s report. He shared this sales achievement alongside the company’s financial results for the quarter ending in September.
In addition to the game itself, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also been a success, with more than eight million units sold already. In other exciting news for fans, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to become available on Mac devices soon, and there’s a new animation project within the Cyberpunk universe in development.
“I’ve got some great updates straight from Night City,” Nielubowicz enthused. “Our Cyberpunk 2077 sales have surpassed 30 million copies, and our Phantom Liberty expansion has reached eight million units.”
He went on to say, “These are astounding numbers, revealing just how vast our fan community is and the widespread appeal of the Cyberpunk universe.”
He further commented, “Both achievements are crucial for us, as we recently announced the game and its expansion will be launching for Mac devices running Apple Silicon chips next year.”
Moreover, he couldn’t hide his excitement about their ongoing work on a new animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which is scheduled for release on Netflix.
