NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have just dropped some exciting news for gamers—there’s a demo of Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero available now on the Nintendo eShop for your Nintendo Switch.
In this preview, you’ll get the chance to dive into the first two chapters of the storyline, and the best part is that when the full game rolls out, you’ll be able to carry over your saved progress seamlessly.
Coming from the masterminds behind the Disgaea series, this game departs from traditional grids and offers a unique spin on tactical turn-based RPGs. You’ll step into the shoes of Marona, a young girl blessed with the uncanny ability to communicate with Phantoms. Alongside her steadfast Phantom friend Ash, they navigate the oceanic world of Ivoire, extending their help wherever it’s needed.
Their adventure takes a thrilling turn when ghost pirates show up to wreak havoc. It’s now up to Marona and her new ally Apricot to rally the legendary crew that once vanquished these spectral adversaries.
Engaging gameplay involves recruiting Phantoms, binding them to objects, and combining them with Gadgets—or even with Marona herself—to wield spectacular powers and bring down the dreaded Shipwreck Fleet.
To give you a taste of what’s in store, the publisher has highlighted the main features of the game:
Play It Your Way: Build your team with over 50 different unit types and strategize your battles! The only limit is your own creativity.
Phantom Possession: Engage in tactical battles using the Confine system, where your Phantom allies can inhabit and battle alongside you using everyday items.
Light-hearted Adventure: While Marona’s mission is serious—rescuing her dear friend Ash—it’s not without its moments of joy and the opportunity to forge new friendships.
Mark your calendars because Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is set to launch both in stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch, reaching gamers worldwide on January 30, 2025.
