We’re thrilled to witness the incredible growth in player support and engagement with the Xbox app on Windows PC over the last year. Today, we’re excited to announce that the revamped Home experience, which Xbox Insiders have been trying out, is now available to all players in the Xbox app on Windows PC. This update makes it far more convenient and quicker for gamers to locate their favorite titles and explore exciting new games.
The Home section now spotlights featured content, allowing players to stay in the loop on the latest game releases, events, Game Pass additions, sales, and more. You’ll find thoughtfully curated collections and personalized recommendations, alongside attractive deals and discounts. Plus, the handy “Jump back in” feature in Compact Mode lets players easily re-enter gameplay straight from any game card in their hub.
Although many use the app primarily to access and launch games through Game Pass, the Xbox app is increasingly becoming a fantastic tool for discovering Xbox games outside of Game Pass as well.
This summer, we teamed up with partners to introduce all PC games with Xbox features into the Xbox app. We’re eagerly looking forward to what new Xbox games will debut on Windows PC from game developers worldwide. We’ve also added nearly 400 games that were previously unavailable or unlisted on the Xbox app.
This impressive lineup includes titles from beloved Japanese studios like Kemco and Kairosoft, as well as popular games like Shovel Knight Treasure Trove by Yacht Club Games, The Jackbox Party Pack, and The Invincible by Double 11, among many others.
A noteworthy bonus is that over 100 of these newly added games are Xbox Play Anywhere titles. This means if you purchase the console version, you automatically get access to the PC version, too, and vice versa. With universal Xbox ownership, seamless cloud saves, and cross-play between console and PC versions (and potentially other platforms, depending on developer preferences), players are genuinely benefiting from these fantastic features.
As the Windows handheld gaming sector expands, it presents a superb opportunity for developers to connect with current and future gamers wherever they are. By providing the flexibility to enjoy games with their preferred friends, at any place, players get to enjoy the ultimate gaming freedom.
