Exciting news for fans of The First Berserker: Khazan—an eagerly awaited free DLC pack is set to drop in May 2025. This isn’t the only surprise Neople has in store; the developer is gearing up to introduce even more fresh content to jazz up the game in the coming months.
Having made its debut on March 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, The First Berserker: Khazan has received a warm reception. Critics have largely applauded its rapid combat and striking cel-shaded graphics. As it stands, the game flaunts a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, boasting an average score of 80 and a 79% recommendation rate from reviewers.
Following its late March launch, Neople laid out a sneak peek of what’s in store for The First Berserker: Khazan, highlighting a planned free DLC set for May. While the specifics of this content pack remain under wraps, Neople has assured fans they’ll share further details closer to the release date.
Amidst all this, the South Korean developer is also fine-tuning the game based on early player feedback. Recent balancing patches have been rolled out, with the latest one hitting on April 4. This update, identified as version number 496652 on PC and 01.003.034/1.1.3.34 on consoles, tweaks the gear acquisition system by linking gear levels to a player’s overall experience and Lacrima accumulation, rather than character level. This change ensures that resetting character levels won’t impact gear acquisition anymore.
In a blog post from late March 2025, Neople hinted that another update is on its way, expected to land sometime in April following the 496652 patch. Similar to the game’s initial updates, this upcoming release will likely focus on balancing changes and bug fixes.
In addition to these updates, Neople is working on introducing a feature allowing players to switch between Easy and Normal difficulties within the same playthrough. This option wasn’t included in the game initially, but after receiving substantial player feedback, Neople has opted to implement it.
March 27, 2025, marked the official launch date for The First Berserker: Khazan, crafted by the talented team at Neople. With new updates on the horizon, players are in for a riveting experience as the game continues to evolve and expand.
