Cards & Tankards, a popular free-to-play social VR card game, is gearing up for an exciting new expansion launch this month.
Crafted by the innovative minds at Divergent Realities, Cards & Tankards offers players a unique collectible card game experience, accessible on both traditional screens and VR headsets. The eagerly anticipated ‘Ashes of Ur-Enku’ expansion is set to bring a treasure trove of 50 new cards, dazzling diamond animated variants, a slew of fresh cosmetics, an updated season pass, along with notable balancing tweaks and rank resets.
“With this expansion, we venture into the untamed territories of Ur-Enku. The story follows the Plundering Guild on an audacious fire-hunting mission—a forbidden venture to uncover ancient Dwarven archives hidden beneath overgrown wilderness. These archives hold secrets of experiments involving Aether, a powerful and ancient force. However, the journey is perilous, and only one brave explorer will return alive,” the studio elaborated.
Cards & Tankards has been around for nearly two years, and during that time, it has received a host of updates to enhance player experience. The last major update was in December, introducing Version 2.4 with a slew of fixes. Meanwhile, Version 2.3 shook things up by rebalancing more than half of the game’s cards. Last March saw the addition of the ‘Crusade of Sun & Stone’ expansion, with ‘Ranked Mode’ making its debut in late 2023.
