The “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024” is a virtual showdown taking place in the popular Nintendo Switch game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This exciting event is organized by Nintendo of Europe SE, with their headquarters based in Frankfurt, Germany, and involves players from across Europe.
Event Schedule and Locations
Mark your calendars for this thrilling competition on Friday, December 6th, from 18:00 to 20:00 (CET) / 17:00 to 19:00 (UK time). This event is open to players residing in various European countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, and the UK, among many others. To ensure everyone has a smooth gaming experience, participants from far-off locations like the Azores might face restrictions.
How to Participate
Getting involved is straightforward. Gamers need a Nintendo Account set to one of the eligible countries with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. It doesn’t matter what type of membership it is—even a free trial works just fine. Participants must also have access to the Game on their Nintendo Switch and complete at least one match in the event. To join, simply navigate to “Online” on the main menu and then to “Official Tourney Qualifiers.”
Tourney Scoring System
The competition is all about racking up the highest Tourney score, a special rating that reflects a player’s skills based on match results and the strength of their opponents. Players can check where they stand anytime throughout the event. Feel free to play as many matches as you want during this period to boost your score. Even games that start during the event but finish later will still count.
Prizes for the Winners
The stakes? Pretty high! The top 10 players with the best scores will snag 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points each. Those ranking from 11th to 100th place won’t walk away empty-handed either, each receiving 1,000 Gold Points. However, stay within the listed countries and play fair since changing your region or engaging in any deceptive practices could lead to disqualification.
Prize Delivery
Winners won’t have to wait long. Nintendo promises to deliver the Gold Points to the winners’ accounts within two weeks after the event concludes. To see if your points have arrived, just check your My Nintendo Point Log.
