Rocksteady Studios has just wrapped up the last piece of major content for their title, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” with the release of Season 4 Episode 8. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, this update marks the end of new developments for the game. Even though the game rolled out to a pretty cold reception in February 2024, Rocksteady has confirmed that the support for the game will officially stop on January 14, though online servers will stay active for current players.
Initially seen as a promising venture into superhero gaming, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” was quickly bogged down by its live-service approach. Just shy of a year on shelves, the game’s support is coming to a close, much to the disappointment of its fans. While announcing the conclusion of Season 4 Episode 8 on December 9, 2024, Rocksteady reassured players that the online features would remain intact, maintaining the possibility for co-op gameplay with friends.
After fixing some server issues, Rocksteady has launched the farewell update to “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.” Players on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can now delve into this final chapter—Season 4 Episode 8: Balance. This content drop includes a new Infamy Set spotlighting the villain Libra, a slew of formidable Notorious weapons, and a thrilling Mayhem mission that culminates in a climactic showdown against Brainiac. Noteworthy changes in gameplay mechanics have also been implemented, such as XP requirement reductions for Squad Levels.
While the servers will keep buzzing post the final content release, fans can enjoy the game offline due to an earlier update in December, which allows gameplay without internet connectivity. Although there’s no official end date for the servers yet, thanks to this offline mode, players can still dive into the game’s campaign and enjoy all seasonal missions, if and when the game goes fully offline.
For those who haven’t yet experienced what “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” has to offer, it recently became available through PlayStation Plus. Until February 3, subscribers can pick up the game alongside titles like “The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe” and “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.”
In Episode 8: Balance, players will find themselves journeying into Medieval Elseworld, a unique setting filled with new adventures and locales like The Quarry, a fortified stronghold you’re tasked to conquer. It’s complete with an arena ready for epic battles, all under the watchful gaze of statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van.
The final update introduces the Libra Infamy Set, inspired by the DC villain Libra. This set imbues foes with stacks of Scales of Libra, drastically enhancing the damage dealt and received, creating a risky yet rewarding gameplay style. This fits well with The Silencer’s weapon set, which delivers an astounding 200% extra damage to those affected by the Scales of Libra. Its alt-fire steps up the game, dealing a whopping 1,000% damage and creating Silencer Zones that completely block enemy attacks.
Another notable addition is Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets, designed to wreak havoc on multiple foes with each electrifying shot. Meanwhile, Chronos’ Equilibrium encourages a daring approach by increasing damage dealt as your Shield dwindles, delivering powerful blows despite the added danger.
The patch also fine-tunes gameplay, including adjusting the duration of Deathstroke’s Suicide Strike and reducing XP requirements for Squad Levels. Retroactively awarded XP boosts players’ Squad Levels and offers new Squad Points for Episode 8 enhancements.
Additionally, a suite of bug fixes addresses various issues from premature LuthorCoin expiry in Japan to problems with bonus XP from Critical Kills. These comprehensive bug fixes aim to enhance the overall experience for any remaining players in the game.
Players should be aware of some known issues, particularly with Riddler challenges not registering correctly unless navigating back to the main menu.

Set in an expansive, destructible Metropolis, fans can expect a riveting narrative as they maneuver through this treacherous world filled with lethal challenges and dynamic gameplay unique to each character.
