Fall Guys has spiced up the gaming scene by adding a new Ranked Knockout mode, packed with exclusive cosmetic rewards for dedicated players. This exciting feature allows players to climb the ladder through various ranks and renews every eight weeks, keeping the competition fresh and exciting. Gamers can now work towards earning unique Ranked Emoticons with each cycle and ultimately aim for the much sought-after Supreme Idol Costume.
On April 1, Fall Guys introduced this update across all platforms, bringing in the Ranked Knockout mode with its set of exclusive cosmetic rewards spread across eight ranks. Although it dropped on April Fool’s Day, this permanent addition will be continuously updated every eight weeks, promising ongoing excitement for players.
Since launching in 2020, Fall Guys by Mediatonic didn’t introduce a ranked mode similar to other games like Fortnite until this significant update. When Fall Guys transitioned to a free-to-play model in 2022, it also brought in the Fame Pass, providing both free and premium rewards for players eager to enhance their in-game avatars. This system has offered costumes inspired by other popular games like Final Fantasy 14 and Death Stranding, giving players various options to express themselves while in pursuit of the coveted Crown.
This new update has Fall Guys fans eagerly diving into the Ranked Knockout mode, eager to outsmart their friends and earn rewards for their efforts. According to a release by Mediatonic, this update is now available across all platforms, demanding around 3.8 GB of extra space on PC, with similar requirements for consoles. Ranked Knockout mode is structured into eight ranks, namely Rookie, Contender, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ace, Star, and Superstar, with players’ rankings reflecting the number of rounds they progress through in each match.
In an organized ranking system, each level—except for Superstar—is divided into three to five sub-ranks. Players will not experience any demotions between sub-ranks until reaching Gold rank or higher. However, moving down from Gold to Silver isn’t possible. The Ranked Knockout is divided into Competitive Cycles that renew every eight weeks, resetting ranks back to Rookie at the start of each new cycle. When matchmaking, the system ensures players are pitted against others of similar ranks, keeping the competition fair and exciting.
Mediatonic also calls on Fall Guys players to report any instances of cheating or issues they encounter. At the end of each Competitive Cycle, players can earn special Ranked Emoticons, and those who climb to Star or Superstar ranks will be rewarded with the Supreme Idol Costume. These enticing ranking prizes will change with each new Ranked Knockout cycle.
With the Ranked Knockout addition, Fall Guys maintains its status as one of the leading play-to-win games in the market. Only time will tell just how many players will rise to the top of Fall Guys’ latest ranking system.
