As we edge closer to the December unveiling of “Alien: Rogue Incursion” on PSVR 2 and PC VR, Survios has just dropped an intriguing story trailer. This sneak peek takes us deeper into the world of Zula Hendricks on LV-354, ominously referred to as ‘Purdan.’
Curiosity looms as we ponder the fate of Zula’s friend and former squad member on this strange world. And just what hazardous experiments have been conducted by the folks at this enigmatic research facility?
These questions simmer as the new story trailer unfolds, and while “Xenomorphs” might not surprise anyone, the details are riveting. We get a good look at fresh gameplay moments featuring Zula alongside her android sidekick, Davis 01. Together, they venture to the planet in search of Zula’s old squad buddy, Ben Carver.
Unsurprisingly, their journey quickly spirals into a tense battle for survival against the lurking alien foes. These creatures, much like the cunning Velociraptors from “Jurassic Park” (1993), stalk in packs, ratcheting the peril to high levels.
TQ Jefferson, Survios’ Chief Product Officer, gives us a glimpse into their creative vision: “Right from the start, we decided that the events on Purdan had already taken place. Zula steps into the chaotic aftermath, with Castor’s Cradle – our research facility – overrun by terrifying Xenomorphs. Starting the story after the facility’s breach lets us dive straight into the suspense and action.”
For those eager to dive into this heart-pounding experience, “Alien: Rogue Incursion” will be available for PSVR 2 and SteamVR headsets starting December 19th, while Quest 3 and Quest 3S gamers can anticipate a release in early 2025. Pre-orders are now live on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and Horizon Store.
