Ah, Boxing Day. A time for celebration, maybe a few discounted game purchases, and perhaps a playful jab at some developers who managed to fall short in our expectations this year.
Last week slipped by with barely a peep, but there were a few game launches that might’ve caught your attention. Out of nowhere, the once Indie World star, Quilts and Cats of Calico, made its grand appearance. Meanwhile, North America was treated to the arrival of a new bullet hell shooter, Dodonpachi Saidaioujou. Over in the gaming archives, Taito’s Warrior Blade made its mark this week.
Honestly, I’ve been spending these holidays at my parents’ place, nestled deep in a remote area where "internet" is more a concept than a reality. This makes keeping updated on game releases a bit of a hassle. Scanning through the eShops felt like an exercise in futility; nothing seemed even remotely gripping. And while Europe enjoys what feels like a multitude of titles from every publisher imaginable, some of those seem to just rehash the same old screenshots. (I think North America had a crack at one of those a few weeks ago.) With that said…
