This DLC delves into his ascent as a formidable boxer, offering a neat backstory to the main 2023 release of Thunder Ray.
Upon entering the world of Forgotten Duels, players face off against a roster of vibrant human boxers, realized through charming hand-drawn animations. This pack pits you against opponents like Uncle Slam, Bayar Kahn, and the climactic challenge of Hunter Callahan, the DLC’s final boss. With only three matches to tackle, remember it’s a content pack, not a full game expansion. It complements the core game, which is priced at $14.99 and features eight unique foes to test your boxing prowess!
In terms of gameplay, the DLC sticks to the basics. You’ll maneuver Thunder Ray using the left analog stick or D-Pad, dodging punches with well-timed left or right movements. Ducking can be your saving grace by precisely pressing down at the right time. Attack strategies include left and right body shots via the B and A buttons, and jabs executed with Y and X.
