Social Discovery Group, the brains behind platforms like Dating.com and DateMyAge.com, has taken a bold step by launching a venture studio aimed at reshaping the landscape of virtual intimacy. Their focus is on nurturing early-stage startups that are delving into AI-driven communication, XR innovations, and social discovery platforms.
This initiative, known as SDG Lab, commits to pumping $20 million annually into these ventures. They’ve simplified the funding process to help entrepreneurs grab seed money for product development, as well as additional resources to help them scale their operations.
Among SDG Lab’s noteworthy investments are the virtual dating platform ‘VR Chat&Date’ and several unique dating apps, including Kiseki, Flure, and AstroLove.
Under the leadership of Alex Kudos, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Social Discovery Group, SDG Lab isn’t just about funding. They also equip startups with essential support services, offering help with legal matters, back-office tasks, technological infrastructure, and marketing prowess.
“Social interaction is undergoing a transformation, and digital intimacy is leading the charge,” said Alex Kudos, the CEO of SDG Lab. “We’re not just throwing money at ideas at SDG Lab; we’re collaborating to build the future of human connection. By investing in and working alongside bold entrepreneurs, we’re crafting technologies that make meaningful relationships a reality, regardless of distance.”
Virtual relationships and AI-driven connections have moved from the realm of science fiction into our everyday digital lives, Kudos noted. “SDG Lab is at the forefront of creating the next wave of products that will redefine how people interact, form bonds, and foster relationships online.”
