Pizza Hut Canada has ingeniously combined the realms of gaming and delicious comfort food by introducing a fun new gadget called the PIZZAWRMR. This clever creation is designed to perch atop your PlayStation 5, keeping your pizza hot and toasty while you indulge in some serious gaming marathons. It’s not a product you’ll find on the shelves or as part of any giveaway. Instead, Pizza Hut is offering the 3D printing files for free. All you need to do is sign up to download the files, which you can then modify to your liking and print out yourself.
Inspired by the iconic red roof of Pizza Hut restaurants, the PIZZAWRMR sports a lid that flips open like a laptop, making it easy to grab a slice mid-game. According to Pizza Hut, this nifty device can hold several slices at a time. The design ingeniously uses the hot air vented from your console to keep your pizza warm, an approach the company describes as utilizing “science and engineering for the greater good.”
When you download the files from Pizza Hut Canada, you’ll receive a set of STL files and a helpful PDF guide. You’ll find 3D printer files for critical components such as the body, the lid, and stands, along with specific instructions. It’s worth noting that the design is optimized for consoles with rear ventilation measuring 11.7 x 1.31 inches. So, your 3D printer will need a bed size of at least 15 x 15 inches, unless you’d like to modify the design for a smaller printer. If you’ve got your hands on an Elegoo Neptune 4 Max, a Prusa XL, or an Elegoo Orange Storm Giga, you’re in luck!
To safeguard your precious PS5 from pizza fallout, like crumbs and grease, Pizza Hut suggests placing a 34 x 23 x 2.5cm foil tray in the warmer. Why the metric shift for the tray size? Well, perhaps that’s just how they roll in Canada. The handy PDF guide’s final piece of wisdom: fire up your gaming console to preheat the PIZZAWRMR before placing in the pizza slices. For an optimal fit, Pizza Hut recommends using their medium-sized slices.
This isn’t the first time a fast-food giant has dabbled in gaming tech. Back in 2020, KFC made waves with the KFConsole, a bucket-shaped gaming rig that famously featured a drawer to keep your fried chicken warm.
So, if you’re curious to see the PIZZAWRMR in action, don’t miss Pizza Hut’s livestream event on the 29th. It’s set to be a fun showcase of how gaming and a slice of pizza truly can be the ultimate pairing. 🍕🎮
