Retailers have begun rolling out pre-orders for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, marking an exciting moment for gaming enthusiasts who have eagerly awaited this next generation of portable home consoles.
While details on the official pricing and how much stock each retailer will receive remain under wraps, retailers are currently offering the option to sign up for email notifications. This way, you’ll be the first to know when the Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders officially open.
In North America, Best Buy has taken the lead by accepting early sign-ups, both in the United States and Canada. Over in the United Kingdom, ShopTo is allowing you to express your interest with a symbolic payment of one penny. However, it’s important to note that registering your interest this way doesn’t guarantee a pre-order. Should they be unable to fulfill your request, they promise to refund your penny completely.
While it’s still a mystery when exactly pre-orders will kick off, there’s some solid information to look forward to. Nintendo has scheduled a Nintendo Direct presentation focused on the Switch 2 for Wednesday, April 2, 2025. During this event, they plan to unveil more about the console and, hopefully, pre-orders will be available shortly thereafter.
We’re keeping our ears to the ground and will update this post with new information about any retailers who start accepting pre-orders or interest registrations. If you spot any updates we haven’t caught, feel free to share in the comments section!
