PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have something exciting to look forward to this year. Among the offerings from the service’s Game Catalog, four games are set to debut, including Remedy Entertainment’s multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak. While it has been highly anticipated, the game now has a projected release window for the summer of 2025.
FBC: Firebreak is set within The Oldest House, the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, which fans will recognize from the critically acclaimed action game, Control. This time, Remedy Entertainment shifts its focus from the deep, narrative-driven gameplay they are renowned for, to emphasize fast-paced, engaging gameplay. Excitingly, they are crafting a live-service game without the pressure-filled mechanics typically associated with the genre. Players can look forward to all content being free and accessible at their own pace, allowing each individual to fully enjoy the game without any fear of missing out.
The latest trailer introduces us to the Paper Chase Job, one of several missions available in FBC: Firebreak. In this mission, members of the Firebreak Initiative are tasked with cleaning up an area of The Oldest House overrun by rogue sticky notes. The trailer also showcases the various loadouts available to players as they work to combat the Hiss threat.
Upon release, FBC: Firebreak will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the Epic Games Store and Steam.
Besides this thrilling title, three other games will be available in the Game Catalog upon launch. These are Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. Currently, the first part of Lost Records is available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, with its continuation expected to roll out next month.
Moreover, PS Plus members have exclusive early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. Subscribers can snag fantastic deals on popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as we speak.
