Alien: Rogue Incursion drops today for both PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while fans waiting to play on Quest will have to hold out until February next year for a taste of the Xenomorph-laden horror-shooter. In exciting news, developer Survios has already started working on ‘Part Two.’
We had the chance to dive into Part One, and in our full review, we rated it a respectable 7 out of 10. The game earns high marks for its absorbing atmosphere and gripping storyline, though we felt the experience was tempered somewhat by repetitive enemy encounters and a rather unforgiving save system.
Even though this installment could stand alone, offering about eight hours of gameplay filled with an abundance of Xenomorphs and sharp narrative turns, you’ll undoubtedly find yourself eager for the continuation in Part Two once you wrap it up.
Details about what’s coming up next remain a bit scarce, but it seems we can anticipate some much-needed variety beyond the repetitive Xenomorph encounters of Part One. Survios mentions that Part Two will continue Zula’s saga, pushing her against more formidable foes and tougher obstacles. Development is already underway, promising exciting things ahead.
First things first though, the Quest version of Part One is set to make its debut exclusively on Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. It’s understandable that packing those dynamic levels, high-definition textures, and physics-based interactions onto the Quest 3’s mobile hardware wasn’t simple—explaining the delay for its release.
That said, with the core systems of Part One already established, we’re optimistic for a quick turnaround as Zula Hendricks gears up for what could be her final battle to rid the rogue science station of every last menacing Xenomorph.
