TinyBuild has recently made a significant move by selling their quality assurance branch, Red Cerberus. The baton has been passed to the testing firm TestFly for $1.5 million, a sum that’s set to be paid in full once the deal is finalized.
Kevin Chelius, the CEO of TestFly, expressed his excitement about the acquisition. “We’re delighted to have Red Cerberus join the TestFly family,” he shared. “Their skills, reputation, and deep understanding of the industry perfectly match our goal to redefine game testing standards. This acquisition not only reinforces our dedication to enabling developers and publishers to deliver top-notch gaming experiences worldwide but also amplifies our reach in Latin America.”
On the other side of the deal, TinyBuild’s head, Alex Nichiporchik, spoke on the strategic shift this sale represents for his company. “Selling Red Cerberus is a pivotal step in refining our focus on core strengths—creating and nurturing outstanding intellectual properties. The Red Cerberus team has been a crucial part of our journey, and I extend my gratitude for their unwavering commitment.”
Nichiporchik further explained, “By channeling resources back into our main creative endeavors, we’re positioning ourselves to optimize long-term revenue, especially as we prepare to unveil new game IP in the coming years. We have high hopes for the games slated for release in 2025 and are enthusiastic about what lies ahead for TinyBuild.”
