Hold onto your consoles because there’s some thrilling buzz about 2XKO circulating on social media, and it’s got us all on the edge of our seats this month! While it’s technically an announcement about an upcoming development update video, we’re eagerly anticipating a comprehensive briefing about the game, Jinx, and the next Alpha Lab test that should be landing soon.
The source of this juicy tidbit is none other than Mr. Ben Forbes, 2XKO’s editor-in-chief, who took to Twitter with the update. In his post, he shared, “We’ve just wrapped shooting the latest 2XKO update! We’re currently in the editing and localization phases, but here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store: A thorough exploration of our gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (including Jinx!), insights into Alpha Lab 2, and a special showmatch featuring the dev team.”
He continued with an exciting reveal, “This update dives deep, running at about an hour or so. We’re aiming to release it in the last week of March. We aren’t ready to tackle PowerPoint livestreams just yet, but who knows—maybe one day!”
Don’t let your excitement run too wild, though; Ben was clear there are no new character reveals in this update. So, maybe hold off on those bets for now.
Last year, the 2XKO team left us hanging with a “See you next year” tease, promising fresh details by February. Instead, game director Shaun Rivera stepped in on Twitter with some adjustments. These include a shift in focus for the next Alpha Labs test and a brand-new fuse for the game.
It seems that some timeline tweaks and changes in the Alpha Lab testing schedule at Riot have nudged the planned February update into this month. Regardless, with the game’s launch still slated for this year, it’s going to be fantastic to get some current updates on what’s happening, what’s in the pipeline, and perhaps a sneak peek at where 2XKO will pop up next in the gaming universe.
